Here's What to Expect

Renew prioritizes transparency and patient-centered care by providing upfront insurance verification and good faith cost estimates, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs, and offering consultations to help patients determine if physical therapy is the right fit—all without pressure or commitment.

Step 1 - Getting Started

When you call our offices, please be prepared to spend up to 15 minutes on the phone with our front office. Have your insurance information ready and your calendar available to schedule your visits. We will need several minutes to take care of the following:

  • We will gather your information to put into our system including demographics, insurance information and possible referral.
  • We’ll take a brief history of your injury/need for physical therapy.
  • We’ll confirm what contact information to send the paperwork and visit reminders to.
  • We’ll schedule follow-up visits for two to six weeks in advance to maintain consistent and uninterrupted care.

Step 2 - Preparing for Your First Visit

We encourage you to confirm your insurance benefits regarding insurance and authorization.

Several days prior to your appointment, our billing department will reach out after verifying your insurance with a good faith estimate for the cost of physical therapy.

Plan to arrive at your listed arrival time. This accounts for the time needed to check-in, complete additional paperwork and ensures a full treatment with your therapist. We anticipate that you will spend 1 hour in the clinic for your first visit – 15mins for paperwork, 45mins for the assessment.

Step 3 - Your First Appointment

Your first visit includes:

  • A comprehensive evaluation and personalized care plan
  • Treatment and education specific to your needs
  • Any adjustments to the plan of care that would require additional scheduled visits

You will need to bring:

  • Your photo ID and insurance card(s).
  • Your prescription/referral for PT if you have one.
  • Comfortable clothes that will allow the Physical Therapist to assess your injury.
  • Your calendar. You may need to schedule additional visits after meeting with your Physical Therapist and developing a care plan.

Step 4 - Ongoing Care & Progress

We will schedule your therapy sessions at an appropriate frequency.

Your therapist will monitor your progress, adjust your plan as needed, and communicate updates to your doctor or insurance provider if necessary.

Step 5 - Completing Treatment

Patients finish their plan of care when their goals have been met and they have returned to previous activity.

You and your PT will have a final discharge appointment to complete your treatment and recognize your hard work!
