As we celebrate Renew Physical Therapy’s 13th anniversary, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought us here and how much has changed—and yet how much remains the same. When I first started Renew, I was living in Columbia City – an area that had limited access to quality healthcare services.
There was a real need for a place where the community could receive personalized, expert physical therapy care. That was the vision I had when I founded Renew, and it’s been an incredible honor to watch the company grow from that single location to three thriving clinics.
However, as our business has grown, our understanding of the deeper purpose behind what we do has grown with it. This year marks a full circle moment for me as Renew Physical Therapy shifts its focus back to what initially inspired me: community outreach and leading with service to those around us. We’re reconnecting with our roots, expanding our connections, and deepening relationships with the people and organizations that make our community healthy and strong.
We’ve been actively connecting with community providers, including surgeons, somatic healers, yoga instructors, and massage therapists, to foster collaboration and deliver a more holistic approach to healthcare in the communities we serve. This collaboration isn’t just about referring patients; it’s about building strong, lasting relationships that support the health and wellness of our neighbors.
We’ve also been focusing on how we can give back to local schools and the students who will shape the future of our community. We value starting a student’s career with compassionate, service-minded support. Future leaders can emerge at any stage, and we’re committed to fostering their growth throughout their journey, whether with us or elsewhere. This initiative is just one of many ways we’re investing in the next generation of healthcare providers and supporting education in our local area.
At Renew Physical Therapy, we’re also working hard to fine-tune our approach to the clinical lifespan. One of our long-term goals is to create a clear, structured pathway for our clinical staff to follow as they grow in their careers. We’re committed to giving our team the tools and support they need to achieve their personal and professional goals. This dedication to service, not only for our patients but also for our staff, is what makes Renew unique—and it’s something I’m incredibly proud of. We’re proactive in ensuring our clinical staff stays on track to reach their full potential, knowing that their growth is essential to the growth of the company and the community we serve.
As we look to the future, I’m excited to continue this journey with you. We wouldn’t be here without your support, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to this wonderful community. Together, we can continue to provide exceptional care and be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
Thank you for being a part of our 13-year journey, and here’s to many more years of serving you and our community.
Sincerely,
Erik Norwood
