Tana Chiarelli, PT, DPT, COMT

Q: From which physical therapy program did you graduate? How long have you been with Renew Physical Therapy?

A: The George Washington University. I have been with Renew Physical Therapy for 5 years.

Q: What is one piece of advice for new graduates as they begin job hunting this summer?

A: Think about what you’d like to gain in the first 3-5 years of your career. Strong mentorship opportunities are key to feeling successful in the first few years, as well as working somewhere that has therapists with a wide range of experiences. Thinking about what types of niche treatment techniques or patient populations are interesting will help guide your pursuit of continuing education (vestibular, PRI, pelvic health, pain science, manual therapy, etc.).

Q: What makes Renew Physical Therapy a great place to work?

A: There is a family business feel to the whole company and we have physical therapists with such a vast array of backgrounds. Everyone who works here is collaborative and open to sharing their knowledge and expertise. The management really works to incorporate employee feedback into Renew Physical Therapy’s business practices and physical therapists are given the freedom to structure their schedule in a way that maximizes their individual work/life balance.
