Compassionate, personalized physical therapy for people of all genders

We welcome all individuals across the gender spectrum. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and welcoming space where every person feels supported, heard, and cared for.

Whether you are preparing for surgery, recovering afterward, or simply looking for a care team that will meet you with compassion and professionalism, our therapists are here to help.

Support Before Gender Confirmation Surgery

Pre-operative care helps set you up for a smoother, more confident recovery. Our therapists work with you before surgery to prepare your body, walk through what to expect, and build a plan that supports your goals, so you feel ready going in and supported coming out. This may include:

  • What to expect with recovery
  • Movement/activity prep
  • Breathing/posture work
  • Pelvic floor prep if relevant
  • Planning for return to normal activity

Support After Gender Confirmation Surgery

Our therapists support your recovery after chest surgery (e.g. “top” surgery and/or mastectomy). Treatment may include:

  • Guidance for returning to daily activities safely
  • Mobility work for the chest, shoulders, upper back, and neck
  • Scar mobility and soft tissue treatment, when appropriate
  • Breathing, posture, and movement retraining
  • Strengthening and progressive return to exercise, work, and recreation
  • Individualized care for pain, stiffness, weakness, and swelling concerns

Our approach is always personalized to your procedure, timeline, goals, and comfort level.

Pelvic Health Support After Gender Confirmation Surgery

Our pelvic health therapists provide care for individuals recovering from pelvic surgery, with treatment tailored to each person’s needs and stage of healing. This may include:

  • Education around healing, body awareness, and activity progression
  • Pelvic floor relaxation, coordination, and strengthening as appropriate
  • Treatment for pelvic pain, tension, bowel or bladder concerns, and mobility restrictions
  • Support for return to movement, exercise, intimacy, and day-to-day function
  • Collaboration with your broader medical team when helpful

We understand that this care is personal, and we strive to create a space where questions are welcome, and treatment feels respectful and affirming.

Care That Centers the Whole Person

There is no single path through healthcare, surgery, recovery, or identity. We serve individuals with a wide range of goals, histories, and medical experiences, and we believe every person deserves care that is compassionate, individualized, and free of assumptions.

At Renew, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for every individual, regardless of gender, anatomy, medical background, or health journey.

What to Expect

Your care begins with a one-on-one evaluation where we take time to understand your history, goals, symptoms, and preferences. From there, we build a treatment plan that fits your body, your comfort level, and your next steps.

Our team focuses on personalized care and practical guidance to help you move better, feel better, and return to the activities that matter most to you. The evaluation process can be performed in many ways (external, internal, self-assessment), and this can be discussed with your provider to determine what is most appropriate for you.
